Lisa Aldridge (Painter & Ethnographer) lives, writes, and paints in a 19th century church which she and her husband are renovating. She earned an MFA from Lindenwood University.

Lisa has authored two novels and a collection of short stories based on her research in folklore and migrant labor patterns as well as various short stories and articles.

She’s worked on grants from agencies including the NEA and USFS. She began her career as a cultural anthropologist at the University of Arkansas Museum, where she received the Samuel C. Dellinger Award. She went on to work with the University of Central Missouri Museum’s Bedouin collections.

Lisa is an avid gardener, a mother of eight, and a relentless community servant.
